Now this band ain't country, this is miserable gothic metal, gothic doom, or doom/death, depending on the album.
However, they're a fave band of mine and have been for a long time, and they really are miserable folk. English too, one of the few good things we still got goin', although relatively few recognise them here. Always the same.
Them, along with Paradise Lost and Anathema, all from england miserably enough, are the recognised Unholy Trinity forefathers of the death/doom genre.
