Whoa baby, I am FUCKING STOKED that a new album is on the horizon.

As yet untitled, those good people released a quick blurb on f'book and provided a link to a download of this single.
Three Bloodhounds, Two Shepherds, One Fila Brasileiro

Makes me wonder if the Denver Broncos UK album is still gonna be comin' out or if that material has been absorbed into the new album...

I'm hopin the DBUK album is still on, although I talked to Munly at the start of their last tour and he said all his parts are recorded, he's just waitin on Slim to record. But I do like that new version of the song better. And new years cant come slow enough...

How was new years motör (ye lucky bastard)?

Just an update about the SCAC album, I thought it was 'untitled' when in fact the album is going to be called 'Unentitled'. Apparently it's the Auto Club's take on pop music(?). Should be interesting...

I''d have to say it was easily my best New Years ever. They had some kind of study room set with a bunch of books and bookshelves and were all dressed in tuxes for the most part. I'll put up some pictures in a couple days.
New CD:
#1 Three Bloodhounds Two Shepherds One Fila Brasileiro
#2 The Unballed Ballad Of The New Folksinger
#3 Thy Will Be Done
#4 No Doubt About It
#5 Do You Know Thee Enemy?
#6 A Smashing Indictment Of Character
#7 My Last Black Scarf
#8 Hallelujah Anyway
#9 United Brethren

Was a very cool show. I liked the set up, a lot. Like an old antique parlor of sorts.

The Lupercalians are something else, haha.

I don't know how I feel about Biafra as a cowboy...

Ah, to live in the States... I've seen a few shots posted up on f'book, looked great. I'll bet it was swell! Thanks for the track-list. I'm assuming 'United Brethren' is a re-do of 'United Longmont', I hope so, I fuckin' love that track! Good to see 'Hallelujah Anyway' there as well. After seeing the lyrics in the Gary Isaacs book, I went batshit trying to track it down.

Loach, remember that ripping rendition of 'Rawhide' from 'In God We Trust Inc.' not to mention 'Prairie Home Invasion'. Jello's an ol' cowpoke from way back...

Got it today. Some pretty tough stuff for sure. Hard to pick a standout track, they're all kickass. I'll have to give it a while yet before I can judge what really shines, just so glad to be listening to some new material.
The only thing I know for sure is that I like United Longmont better than United Brethren, the lyrics are more descriptive and the instrumentation is more stripped back and I think the original flows a bit better.

I feel the same about United Longmont...I just like it more. But besides that I love 3 Bloodhounds...better than the DBUK version, that one is just boring. Love 3 bloodhounds, Unballed balad, Thy will be done and my last black scarf. The album does feel a bit Munly heavy, like the Auto Club covered a Munly record. But pretty damn good besides this small complaint. Also if I may add, If anybody has heard the OG version of A Smashing Indictment...I think that version is better, dunno who it is trashing tho

Yeah, I sorta wish Slim would do another BVS album or something that was more straight up country. I enjoy the shit outta Munly's stuff and what he brings to the Auto Club, but I began to notice Munly's influence seemed to be taking a more dominant position when Cipher came out.

United Longmont/Brethren is a perfect example. Did it really need Munly to be included? It seems to be a pretty personal song to Slim.

I haven't heard that other version of A Smashing Indictment, is it available on the net anywhere?

Just got American Country Music Changed Her Life~ the last missing piece in the puzzle.
I kept wondering how they got from S/T to Always Say Please and Thank You. Makes good sense now.

American Country Music has about 2 good songs. It was a fun record when I first heard it, but most of the songs have no lasting power..
